seriously, his performance tonight was amazing. i think in a league with less pace like mls he is going to be fantastic. he was never the marauding type, and mls is still very much a “cross into the box” kinda league, although there are a couple of teams trying to break that mold. in all honesty there are only a couple of really, really pacy players in mls, and even then, in the wilting summer heat, the game slows to a crawl. the league is still all about fitness and tactics here in the states.

bowl game lessons part 2
Friday, January 4th, 2008zz top has apparently cloned himself for the orange bowl halftime show. that is one too many zz tops.
hopefully we continue the trend of increasingly competitive BCS bowl games. the first two were rubbish, the third was okay, this one was pretty close until the end. onside kick was a mistake with three minutes remaining, the VT defence was okay the whole game so they should have kept it on the field.
