there was great sadness the day i realized there was a chance that i cannot do everything, and yet i have not quite managed to accept that possibility.
does that even make sense? because it is really paralyzing, and also really late.

the best thought in the feature was of the lack of serendipity caused by this kind of architecture–why would you go somewhere unless you have to?
the eliminator
Monday, January 7th, 2008the new eliminator on the new edition of american gladiators has some interesting stuff, like making the people climb up the cargo net while wet–but they totally fucked up the travelator by giving the contenders a rope to help them. it’s all about putting it at the end just to ruin them. i remember watching a few episodes of the uk version where BOTH dudes couldn’t make it up the travelator and just stood there catching breath for a few seconds. that was pretty exciting.
in general the new show is not campy enough like the old one, but it’s not horrible.
