people are so stupid

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

from the los angeles times:

It started last year when Caltrans began widening California 138, a main east-west route in Southern California’s fast-growing high desert region.

Motorists angry at construction delays threatened road workers and damaged equipment. Also, flagmen have been attacked in what officials describe as bizarre incidents of road rage. Two workers were hit by cars and a third was shot with a BB gun.

wouldn’t that just make the construction take LONGER? we need more positivity in this world.

have you ever read hornby’s fever pitch?

Monday, June 4th, 2007

in that book, hornby’s life seems to reflect or be reflected in the results of arsenal football club. the club consumes him sometimes to a point where you can’t tell the author and the club’s fortunes apart. a great read for big fans of any sport. (although, the jimmy fallon movie adaptation to the red sox sucked, even though i like the red sox.)

well, i feel a similarity to city right now. loads of uncertainty with a new board matches up loads of uncertainty with my next project/thing/whatever. not quite fever pitch. maybe just a fever. or just a pitch. wide open, lots of options, and i don’t know which ones work out best.

it’s two years old i know
