BOSTON (Reuters) – The prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology said on Thursday it had fired a professor who admitted to falsifying research data in several manuscripts, grant applications and a research report.
The university said Luk Van Parijs, an associate professor of biology, has been denied access to his laboratory and office since August 2004 when a group of colleagues reported allegations of “research misconduct” to MIT’s administration.
