i worked from 9:30 until 22:30 today, plus there was one hour of commute round-trip.
research is fun, but i suspect it is not a long-term job for me, at least not alone. you don’t even know if you’ll really help anyone, if your discoveries mean anything. it is just one piece of the puzzle, another tool in the box. post-docs have bad hours and bad pay. breaking through is difficult but rewarding. but i need more action. but not too much. who knows. but i fight on to keep the doors open.
