the security guard is retiring

i should have taken a picture of him. not for the touristy me, but because he’s a nice guy. he’ll be happy in florida. i got to know him because i kept coming back late all the time.

i bet half the people here don’t even know he’s leaving. just think what you’d think if you knew al was leaving.

    Mar actually told me that a few weeks ago, too. The guard (ex-guard?) really is super-nice. Once he got to know someone, he’d let them in. It’s really a small thing, something we take for granted. But it was definitely much-appreciated.
