we baked a cheesecake the other day, in that “japanese” style that was so popular in hong kong a few years ago. they’re different from american (new york) styled chessecakes in that they use less cheese and are less dense. (therefore, healthier and less filling–but only by a little bit.)
except it turned out like crap. DISASTER. i am never baking with my mum again, holy shit. too controlling when it comes to cooking. need to flow with the food. then the food can flow into your stomach. cooking is not about stress, and it’s ok to be off a little from the recipe, a little spontaneous.
also to bake well you must invest in pans that don’t have holes.
obviously, this is a small problem. there are bigger problems out there.
my folks, my cousin, and i rolled sushi and kimbab last night. mine all kept falling apart and looked retarculous while my cousin’s came out round and perfect.
we should just buy out williams sonoma for you for your birthday.
