ha i haven’t read my mit e-mail in several days. i think we are too reliant on instant communication at times, people need to slow down and enjoy things, and live. i am glad i have cleaned out half of my mailing list committments. whatever happened to letters and packages?

Thursday, November 11th, 2004you’d think
Wednesday, November 10th, 2004in a place like this, with all this intelligence, people would learn that losing weight is not just about counting calories, or skipping meals. you have to have balance. you can eat a little crap. but you have to do ok otherwise and keep exercising. i only mention this because i heard some girl talking about her diet, or rather non-diet, in lobby 7.
please eat more. go exercise instead.
maybe this is too negative
Tuesday, November 9th, 2004i hate to say this, but i don’t like this whole take-home quiz thing in 6.046. i hate to be so negative about people, but where grades are concerned, someone’s bound to cheat, and that will hurt my grade in an unfair manner. because it’s take-home too, there’s a good chance they won’t get caught. some people are just like that, in spite of the fact that there is going to be an “ethics” lecture. mistake mistake mistake! you’d think they’d realize their department is so high pressure that it’d be hard to resist, especially when you have hackers out there who probably don’t give a damn about algorithms and just want to graduate. they’re all good people. but they are under a lot of strain.
YES NO MORE JOHN ASHCROFT. but then you have to find a successor who isn’t a hard-lining moron.
