one win away again!

nobody can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory here. not even me. and definitely not the sox.

so here we go. go sox! and go me! going to grad school yes really i mean it this time. well first studying for this test, and this and that and everything in between. crap.

well the sox won’t lose at least.

i superglued myself AGAIN but only slightly this time. i am quite the moron. also the running and largelargelarge gatorade have unsettled my stomach. i wonder what sound it will make when it actually settles.

i’m sure most of you already have seen him but ken jennings is INSANE a MADMAN he has won two million and thirty thousand dollars or so on jeopardy. i think i can beat him though. the other players choked today, one of his opponents had a chance.

spending too much

techbargains is strange. here’s a quote.

$8 drop. Buy.com has Lexar 2GB 80x Pro Compactflash with write acceleration for a low $147 after rebate, free shipping.

i am totally annoyed by the way they claim $147 is “low.” these people must be rich off their asses or something. gadgets are cool but so expensive.

i also hate “buy more, save more.” it should read, “buy more, spend more.”

in retrospect, those pants i purchased a couple of weeks ago were expensive when i could have bought them in hong kong for probably a third of the price i paid here. (and they were already on sale!) i felt so bad when one of our family friends bought me the most expensive plain black shirt ever from marks and spencer. but it is a nice shirt i never would have bought for myself. oh, i am a consumer whore.

when i read what you wrote, i try to listen for your voice.

as for halloween costumes why dress up as a doctor when you can be one in a few years? but really i need to find something to be before saturday. nothing scary though. well i guess i could be nothing too, like every year, except for that one year i was tweety bird, but that’s another anecdote. how embarrassing.

i see why people are course 1, as i met great people on saturday. this makes me think of one short conversation snippet, about the future of water.

when my body falls apart other things fall apart. i hate getting sick boo. but i will fight it. i had a long headache earlier today. i need to sleeeeeeep more.
