it’s all weeeeeird now. heh. it’s interesting to see the kinds of people that go by, though. like the british woman with the loud kids. the high schoolers playing diablo on the public internet machines. everything’s moved too. i can’t find anything now.
this library used to feel so big to me. but now i’ve seen “real” libraries, big libraries, or whatever that means. now this library feels like a hole in the wall. they do their best here, though. to put it in perspective, there are only four shelves or so of art books. maybe four rows of “adult” fiction. only one floor in the whole building, and not even that big at that.
i also got the “whoa asian guy” looks when i went in, like they’ve never seen a chinese guy before. apparently all the chinese guys go to the university library. when i was little, one of the kindergarten teachers at cleveland elementary used to volunteer at this library. she’d always greet me in japanese even though i wasn’t japanese. what was her name again? i think it was mrs. dionysio. sounded greek god-ish.
it might be time to pay a visit to my high school. i wonder how many people do that now.
