sexual favors for presidents

Tuesday, February 17th, 2004

so kerry looks like he could be on his way very soon.

but more importantly, do you think he’s hot? this is the question i heard a couple of people discussing on the way home a few days back in front of macgregor.

actually i think the question was, do you think he could get any from an intern? which i guess is more appropriate since bill clinton is not very hot. nor are any of the other presidents, or candidates, and i doubt that will change anytime soon.

i think he could get some random intern play, he’s not that ugly. he’s probably the same as clinton. reasonably young. i doubt anybody would give dubya sexual favors, though. his voice would just piss the intern off.

80s music and 6.034

this is a problem description from 6.034 problem set 2:

You’re a taxi driver and you decide that you want to use graph search to make your job more profitable. Your world can be modeled as a graph of locations (named with letters) with distances (measured in miles) between them. Some, but not all, of the locations have passengers, possibly more than one, that you can pick up.

You always start from the same start location and always travel to the airport. Assume your taxi can hold at most 2 passengers. Also, assume that you have to pay a mileage fee (gas + wear and tear), which is $2 dollars per mile.

this reminds me of that former physics major who was driving the cab i rode (instead of ring crusing). he’d be rich if he had this, haha. maybe not. oh man, poor guy.

are we here because it’s the best school, or are we enjoying ourselves? which one should it be? i think it should be the second one, but it’s easy to lose track of that, and for some, it’s not really an option–they’ve staked a lot of money on a good education. personally, enjoying mit makes it go down much smoother, but i’m lucky i can do that because i don’t have to work just to pay for this crazily expensive place. i can even afford to go out or go on a short trip every once in a while.

it’s spandau ballet that wrote true, not tears for fears. but they sound awfully similar.

on people

tomorrow (today?) we’re going to new york. i hope this won’t be my first winter driving experience on the way back.

yeah so i stopped writing. this was because i was wrecked. but i fixed my sleeping schedule yay! of course, i’ll wreck it tomorrow.

so here are some interesting people.

there’s this really old guy in my molecular biology class who sounds like a private eye or a baseball announcer. i haven’t really decided which yet. luckily, since i ACTUALLY GO TO CLASS now i’ll have plenty of time to decide. i’ll try to record his voice with my md player or something. fun.

there’s this guy in my 6.033 recitation (you might know him) who talks really freaking slow. i hate that. he seems like a nice guy, though. he should just talk faster, because he wastes a lot of time with his “well, i think the reason for . . .” shit. he also has big ears and a small head.

there is another guy in my 6.033 recitation (whom i used to hang out with way back in freshman year, ugh) who always comes in late. as long as i’ve known him, he’s always been worried about that number that gets assigned to everything you turn in, called a grade, so then he asks a lame nitpicky question about the assignment, or something like that which should really be asked OUTSIDE OF CLASS. boo on you. and by the way, if you’re so grade obsessive try showing up on freaking time. because that counts in your grade, dumbass.

on the way home from lab there was someone who was pulling up the rope near baker that stops you from walking on the grass. it had fallen on the ground under some ice, so he would pull it up and break the ice along with it. so i kept looking at him, which probably made him a bit uncomfortable. i was going to ask him why he kept doing that. he also refused to walk on the sidewalk except when absolutely necessary, preferring instead to walk on ice.

watching people makes you a better person.

happy valentine’s day. i’ll be in new york, yay!
